Anaeli_2.3_DQ7

First of all, I think that there could be better questions related to this chapter´s topic. The author could have used a better discussion question.  However, I see what his poin is.

Whenever we hear the word "hand" we almost inmediately turn to look at our hands, and when we do so, we also almost automatically turn them to look at our palms.  That is because it is with that part of the palm that we can sense what it´s around us.  Our mental connection with symbols and language is amazing!

So, since we don´t use our dorsals (name of the back of our hands), we don´t automatically think of its name.  This can seem like there IS NO name, but there IS a name.

That's kind of what I was thinking, that there IS a name for the back of the hand.

Our minds are pretty brilliant, Anaeli! Their way of grabbing information, for example, is fantastic.
