I believe personality plays into relationships all the time. You wouldn't be yourself without it. If you put two people together that don't have similar relationships then it is possible to be a recipe for disaster. You probably wouldn't get along in a romantic sense but you could still be friends. But on the other hand if you put two people with similar personalities then you might have some strong connections in a romantic relationship.
