I don't really have a preference on if my views match up with the views of those I talk to or not. It's not like I have this checklist, like oh hey, we don't share the same philosophical views, guess we can't talk. The world doesn't work like that. And honestly, that kind of stuff doesn't really come up. How often do you sit down and have a serious conversation about your personal beliefs with anybody? Not very often in my case. I'm a really shy, introverted person. I don't start conversations with people I don't know unless I have to. As a result, I have a very small circle of friends. We don't always agree on life views but that doesn't harm or hinder our friendship in any way because we respect each other. Mutual respect is a very important thing to have in any relationship. And even when I do encounter that random classmate that ONLY wants to argue with everybody about everything no matter what it is, it doesn't go very far with me, because I can respect their opinion even if I don't agree with it, and move on.

I agree with you. Im not shy though but i usually don't spark up a conversation unless im spoken to and i do believe mutual respect is very important. Without respect there are no values in any relationship; friend or romantic. I am easy to get along with so it just doesn't matter if we have alot in common to talk
