It's sure that if you have similar goals and personality as your partner has, everything is going to be easier. Because with a similar point of view, take important and good decisions will not take them so much time.
Now, if your partner is so different, is not impossible but is going to be harder. That's why i think it's better be with someone with a similar point of view. But, sure, our heart not always is going to listen to us.
