Maturity, I´d say plays a big role when speaking about age. 

If I think of my grandmother I would definitely see how she has changed from 10 years to now. Physically speaking her hands are much more wrinkled and her hair is much more gray and thin.  She is a great example of wisdom to me. And as I´ve heard, that, only comes with experience, time and a well lived life.

Now, if I think of one my little cousins, I would think that 10 years have done a great great change in her. I met her when she was only 2 years old, and now she is 12. So... it is incredibly crazy how much she has changed and how now I don´t see her as the baby girl, like I used  to, but now we can actually have sleepovers together and talk about "girls" stuff together.

Definitely time is something so valuable and so important, that it doesn´t only have an effect on us personally, but also socially.
