"Strange as it may seem, my life is based on a true story"
By reading this first quote and thinking of the questions in the book, I realize how our lives are "driven" by stories, short or long, but they all compose an ultimate story; the true story of your life.
Personally, I like to tell stories...especially to children, they seem to actually listen haha. But to be honest, I think I'm a better listener than story teller... so I'm always listening/reading different stories from my friends, sister, parents and professors.
Being in an educational environment, I believe that I should start off my list with the "academic stuff" that we talk about with the people. For example, last week was advising week, so many of us had different stories about our advisors. How they convinced us to stay in the same major, how they advised to take more or less classes and which ones to take to get our hours right, etc.
But also, since most of us study, eat, rest... pretty much live together in the dorms... we also have tons of other stories that make up our social life. For example, the caf food is many (maaany) times a topic in our conversations, if there is something good there or not, should I just eat cereal or go find something somewhere else, etc.
To think about a specific structure of this conversations is a little bit hard, since they are all colloquial and simply "just happen." And we all definitely need to conduct ourselves properly in every social activity that we are part of, after all, socialization is a very key area of our lives. So, conforming just the necessary and not changing your true nature is the balance needed to present yourself in your story as a decent speaker.
