This is just an example of the way that our life has become so social networks driven.

 

In a globalized world it is important and key to be part of the social networks, or else we would just be "out of the loop."  I think that it is also, almost impossible to deny that we are all part of them and that we are beneficiated from them in one or another way.

In my case, I have been able to stay in touch with many friends that are from different countries and live far away from where I am now. This is definitely something that I was not available some years ago. Also, even if this is not mentioned in the book, Skype is another communication tool that has been a great way to stay in touch.

 

Cellphones are important, but if you realize most of the really popular cellphones now are the smartphones, which have internet access which let you get on the social networks and share everything that you are living at the moment in a much massive manner than if you were only texting or calling.   So definitely, social networks and cellphones have a very great influence in my interpersonal communication and relationships.
