Shawn_Listen in on your Own Life_199

I find it easy to tell the difference between two strangers talking, and people who know each other are talking. The body language usually is a big give away, sometimes the strangers might look tense, and look awkward, when two acquaintances are are talking, they seen more relaxed, and look comfortable talking with one another. especially for me, when i talk with people i know, i am a lot more open, and use my hands alot in crazy gestures, when i talk to strangers, my gestures are on point with what i am saying.

List - Relationships
- A relationship is not like Facebook where you can sign in and out whenever you want

- There are two things a real man likes — danger and play: so he likes women, the most dangerous of playthings.

All love with no friendship at its base, is like a mansion built upon sand.

- i am not abusive! i am just being highly persuasive!
List - Work
We've burned the first bridge, but we're not out of the woodwork yet

He's been beating his head around the bush for a long time

- Not the sharpest knife in the deck
List - Lack of control

Relationships are meant to be private and personal parts of our lives, but with so many places encouraging you to broadcast your relationship status, this is not the case for most people, its a crazy thought, but i have known people that get in relationships just to have it show up on Facebook, because they felt left out. this causes many problems, especially for the opposite sex, which may not know what the partners intentions are. with so many ways to connect now. there is usually nothing that goes unseen. especially with relationships, the minute one person knows your in a relationship, everybody knows, in some cases this is not all bad, for some, knowing who is in a relationship and who is single helps them not to get shut down, or hurt, if a person likes a person, but they see they are in a relationship on facebook, that should be a indicator to back off. and let their relationship grow. I believe facebook has become a major part of relationships today. with the popular phrase "FBO" or "Facebook Offical" people use this phrase as a way to say someone is not really in a relationship until it says so on facebook.  which is not true at all. but for most teens now a days, this phrase couldn't be more true.

It really depends on the age group walking in, young adults walking into the store will quite certainly be judged for walking into a "Sex Store" as for older couples walking in, people might see this as a act of "saving a marriage" or spicing up a love life. overall society is very judgmental, and sex stops are frowned upon  but we can't "judge a book by its cover" as the saying goes. nor can we judge a person by what store they visit. we must get the true facts first, even then, this is a free country, we have the ability to do what we want.. is it our place to judge them? or the father upstairs?

Shawn, Paris,Glen. -Slumdog Millionaire

1 - The exotic scene seems to point out how people in the slums are underestimated by society, as living in such a poor part of the world. they do not have access to education, this symbolized how Jamal's success was seen as "cheating"

2 - Again, this proves the fact about pool education for Jamal. he knew the answers by his experiences, not by the education he received. even tho he didn't the know the answer he tried to stay true to himself. Salim lived his life seeking money, he thought that was the key to life, and he did everything in his power to get money, rather it be killing people, or any other means of breaking the law. to Prem this motto symbolized education, and no Slum dog should know educated answers.  The title represents a dream to many people, even though it is an dream to many, Jamal was able to achieve this by his life experiences.

3 - This scene represents the dedication Jamal has to his Dreams, in this Scene his dream was to get the autograph of his idol. The Dream Jamal had for the rest of the movie was to Finally be with Latika. he showed once he had a dream, he would not give up, even go on a game show in hopes his love would be watching.

4 - The trains to us, seem to symbolize hope, many times the two brothers used trains to get out of sticky situations. The train station seemed to be an Escape from the bad. and a new hope for Jamal.

I honestly don't understand this question.. soooo yeah. but as for my grandparents i have none left, which all have passed away in the past 10 years, so you can say the past 10 years as i aged i saw my loved ones pass on, which really gave me a eye opener on how subtle life is, and how you don't need to take anything for granted. because all things come to an end. and what you do with the time you are given is what counts.

Shawn_OLChapter4

Going through the day I do catch my self looking at outward appearances, I believe society has pushed us to be so judgmental of how people appear in public that its hard not to be somewhat judgmental. In chapel today Ref Nancy talked about a picture that was posted on Reddit. of a women with facial hair, and how it spread over the internet. Society has made us so judgmental of how we are supposed to look, rather then understanding the views of the person, or the reasoning behind the appearance.

Nonverbal communication also plays a huge rule in how people are interpreted. how we present ourselves non-verbally plays a huge role in how people view you throughout the day. i wish society wasn't so judgmental on people, but it happens everyday, in every situation, we come up with our first impressions, and stick with those until proven otherwise.

Us, as humans thrive on acceptance, we want to accepted by all people. but in reality, that is just impossible. mistakes are bound to be made, we will embarrass ourselves.
Growing up i a home-schooled type of home, i was not really associated with kids in public schools. at home i was as comfortable as i possibly could be with my family, I didn't care about embarrassing myself. because lets be honest. we don't really care what our family thinks of ourselves, well at least i didn't. but as soon as i got put into public school in the 9th grade, i constantly  felt the pressure to be perfect. messing up in that public setting would result in me getting cast out with the undesirables. it was funny because at home i never even thought about not embarrassing myself, but the minute i got to public school i felt that pressure to not embarrass myself.

i do not believe we are prisoners of our own past, as humans we have the ability to change any aspect of our life's, change the bad and remember the good and use those. i do not think every relationship of the same sort will bring out the same experiences, as time goes, people mature, and mindsets change. so your views on relationships, and the things you get out of it will be different.

How has your experiences changed from one relationship to another?

After Asking around I found that not many of peoples memories involved of acceptance, rejection, and insecurity, the only one that seemed relevant  is comfort, many memories consisted of first vacations, first Christmases, and early family events. to kids those can be some comforting times.

other than that. what is your first Memory?

when couples are shown on TV its always the same way, each couple are grouped together by their personality, because that's how society thinks relationships should go, they think that the only way to get along or have a healthy relationship is to have the same views, same personality, and same interests. in "parental Control" they parents want somebody they think is good for they child, they are asked to find 2 candidates that they feel have the same personality. and the child is asked to pick from their current BF/GF, or the picks of the parents, I'm not really sure how realistic the show is. so here is a question.

Are couples better off with the same personality, or different personalty?

when i go off to college i feel extremely far away from my family as I'm the only one that has gone out of state to attend college, my way to Recognize the essence of our relationships is usually through Facebook, or text messages, just a random text from my brothers and sister mean the world when your far away from home.

for me, i prefer to talk with people with different views them myself, sure you might find yourself arguing more frequently, but if you never talk to people with different views how will you learn anything? even if we don't share the same perspectives on life, its still healthy to hear their point of views, and be open to whats around you, because who knows, maybe what you believe isn't always whats true.

other then the phrase "knowing something like the back of your hand" the back of your hand has little use in our daily lives. why remember something as useless as the back of your hand, when there is no purpose to it in my opinion. as for the front of your hand (the palm) it has many use's, its very sensitive (for touch) its flexible (for griping things) ect. ect. in our society we tend to learn/ take in information that is useful to us, and disregard the information not relevant to us. much like the back of our hand, we tend to disregard all aspects of it.
